OnOctober1, 2025, on the proposal of the President of the Republic of Tajikistanand by resolution of the MajlisiMilliMajlisiOli of the Republic of Tajikistan, he was elected a judge of the ConstitutionalCourt of the Republic of Tajikistanandcarries out hisactivitiesinthisposition.
Sohibzoda M.M. worked as an Associate Professor at the Department of Civil Law and the Department of Transport Law and Natural Resource Law at the Law Faculty of the Tajik National University (from 2013 to the present); Associate Professor at the Department of International Law at the Law Faculty of the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan (2020-2025); First Deputy Director of the National Center for Legislation under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan (2020-2025), as well as a deputy of the Majlis of People’s Deputies of the city of Dushanbe, the seventh convocation (2025).
In 2025, he was elected Chairman of the Commission on the Protection of Human and Civil Rights and Freedoms and Anti-Corruption of the Dushanbe City Council of People’s Deputies of the Seventh Convocation, as well as Deputy Chairman of the Temporary Commission of the Dushanbe City Council of People’s Deputies on the Naming and Renaming of Districts, Streets, Squares, Avenues, Parks, Bridges, and Other Components of Human Settlements.
By ResolutionNo.13 of the Chairman of the MajlisiMilliMajlisiOli of the Republic of TajikistandatedApril13, 2025, he was includedintheYouthParliament of the MajlisiMilliMajlisiOli of the Republic of Tajikistanas a representative of the YouthParliament of the Republic of Tajikistanin the InterparliamentaryAssembly of Youth of the CISmember States.
Since 2025, he has been a member of the Scientific Advisory Council of the CIS Economic Court, a member of the Association of Judges of the Republic of Tajikistan, and since 2026, a member of the Coordinating Council of the Judicial Training Centre under the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tajikistan. He also served as a member of the Academic Council of the National Legislation Centre (2020-2025).
Since 2026, upon the nomination of the Chairman of the Constitutional Court, he has been elected Judge-Secretary of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Tajikistan.
He was also a member of the editorial board and the executive editor of the scientific and analytical journals «Legislation» and «Law-making Activities» of the National Center for Legislation. Currently, he is the editor-in-chief of the scientific and informational legal journal «Bulletin of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Tajikistan».
Since 2026, he has also been a member of the Editorial Board of the academic and information journal of the Eurasian Association of Constitutional Review Bodies. In addition, he has served as an expert for the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
In 2019, Sohibzoda M.M. defended his Candidate of Legal Sciences dissertation entitled «Problems of Civil Law Regulation of the Lease of Agricultural Land Plots under the Legislation of the Republic of Tajikistan». Since 2022, he has been a doctoral candidate at the Department of Civil Law of the Faculty of Law of the Tajik National University and has completed his doctoral dissertation entitled «Issues of legal regulation of land use in civil law and land law relations in Tajikistan: doctrine, law enforcement, and improvement of Legislation» in the following fields of specialization: 5.5.3 – Civil law; business law; family law; private international law, and 5.5.6 – Land law; environmental law; agricultural law; natural resources law.
He is the author of 6 monographs, 4 textbooks, 10 teaching manuals, 15 commentaries on legislation, and more than 150 scientific articles.
