FINAL SESSION ON THE ACTIVITIES OF THE CONSTITUTIONAL COURT IN 2020

On January 8, 2021 in the assembly hall of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Tajikistan was held the final meeting of the Court in 2020 with the participation of the Chairman, Deputy Chairman, judges and staff of the Constitutional Court.

The reporting session was attended by the First Deputy Head of the Executive Office of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Hayotzoda Firdavs.

Abdulhafiz Ashurzoda – Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Tajikistan opened the meeting, noting that 2020, despite the Covid-19 pandemic, is another year of economic development, strengthening of patriotic ideas, self-awareness and the year of the most important political events and activities for Tajikistan.

The Chairman of the Constitutional Court also noted that the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Tajikistan as an institution of the judiciary system which functions to ensure the supremacy of the Constitution and the implementation of instructions and decrees of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President Emomali Rahmon has taken effective measures and completed certain works in 2020.

Then, the Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court K. Karimzoda and the Chief of Staff of the Constitutional Court A. Gulzoda reported on the results of the work of the Court and its staff in 2020.

At the end of the meeting, the existing shortcomings were considered and a decision was made on the results of the work of the Constitutional Court in 2020, and the task was set to eliminate the shortcomings and further strengthen the work of the Court in 2021.
