THE ROLE OF NATIONAL UNITY IN STRENGTHENING THE CONSTITUTIONAL ORDER OF THE REPUBLIC OF TAJIKISTAN

June 23, 2022, at the meeting of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Tajikistan in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Day of National Unity, a Republican scientific and practical seminar entitled “The role of national unity in strengthening the constitutional structure of the Republic of Tajikistan” was held.

In its work, the senior adviser of the department of the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on legal issues – Shonazarov Sodik, the judge of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tajikistan – Kamarzoda Roshiddin, the deputy executive director of the branch of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov in Dushanbe – Doctor of Law, Professor, Dinorshoh Aziz, Head of the Department of Legislation on State Construction, Law Enforcement Agencies of the National Center for Legislation under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan – Sharifzoda Farangis, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Constitutional Law of the Faculty of Law of the Tajik National University – Imomov Khumoyun, representatives of the Higher Economic court, the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Republic of Tajikistan, as well as judges and employees of the apparatus of the Constitutional Court took part.

Ashurzoda Abdulkhafiz – Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Tajikistan opened and congratulated attendants on this significant national holiday, noting that the constancy and strengthening of national unity, complete peace and stability in Tajikistan are the result of the daily efforts of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, the respected Emomali Rahmon.

Thanks to National unity, the feeling of patriotism and self-awareness of the people of Tajikistan has increased and this process has become sustainable and irreversible.

Unity and national self-consciousness lay a solid foundation for strengthening State independence. A full-fledged and sovereign state of Tajiks in the international arena independently promotes its domestic and foreign policy, economic, social and cultural policy.

The achievement of National unity and the consistent promotion of ideas was that Tajikistan entered a phase of sustainable development in a short historical period and achieved very significant success in improving the level and quality of life of the population.

Freeing the country from communication isolation, laying a sustainable foundation for economic development, building energy and communication infrastructures, including roads and tunnels, high-voltage power lines, electrical substations, stable development of industry and agriculture, entrepreneurship and the private sector, building tens of thousands of hectares orchards and vineyards are among the most significant achievements of this period.

Shonazarov S.A. noted that the Founder of Peace and National Unity – the Leader of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, as the guarantor of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan, made a huge contribution to strengthening peace and national unity, protecting unity and territorial integrity, ensuring political stability and integration of society, the continuity of democratic and rule of law, the adoption of the first Constitution of an independent state, the improvement of the legal foundations of the country and the system of public authorities on the world stage, thus presented Tajikistan as a peace-loving country.

Shonazarov S. noted that maintaining peace and stability contributes to the sustainable development of the socio-economic, political and legal spheres of the country, which means the image and influence of independent Tajikistan are increasing day by day in the international arena and our state is perceived as an integral part of the world community.

Thanks to peace, stability and the strong will of the glorious people of Tajikistan, stable socio-economic, cultural and spiritual development of the country was ensured in the shortest possible time.

In those difficult times, it was believed that the continuation of the civil war could lead to the collapse of the Tajik nation and the collapse of the young Tajik state.

The senior adviser of the department of the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on legal issues recalled that during the years of the civil war, constitutional norms and other existing laws were violated, crime, violence and lawlessness became common behavior. Under these conditions, the leadership of the state, with a sense of high responsibility for the future of the Motherland and the people of Tajikistan, has set itself the task of using all possible ways and means to ensure an atmosphere of peace, tranquility and national security throughout the country as soon as possible.

The senior adviser of the department of the Assistant to the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on legal issues completed the work of the scientific and practical forum and the chairman of the Constitutional Court completed it.
