81st anniversary of Victory Day
A departmental round table dedicated to the 81st anniversary of Victory over Fascism, which is annually commemorated on May 9, was held in the hall of the Constitutional Court.
The event was attended by the leadership, judges, and staff members of the Constitutional Court. The State Anthem was performed at the beginning, after which the session was opened by the Chairman of the Constitutional Court, respected Ashurzoda A.A. Quoting the words of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, respected Emomali Rahmon, he stated: “More than 300 thousand of our fighters from the Republic of Tajikistan were mobilized to the фронт together with other Soviet peoples. Of this number, more than 100 thousand were killed, while tens of thousands are still considered missing. Undoubtedly, this reflects the worthy contribution of the Tajik people to the common struggle against fascism.”
Then, according to the round table program, the Deputy Chairman of the Constitutional Court, respected Abdurakhimzoda D.R., delivered a report entitled: “The Role of Friendship among Peoples and the Tajik Nation in Achieving Victory in the Great Patriotic War.” In particular, it was noted that during the war, 11 thousand people were awarded the high title of “Hero of the Soviet Union” for exceptional bravery and heroism, including 54 distinguished sons and daughters of Tajikistan.
The staff members of the Court’s apparatus also delivered reports: Karimzoda Sh.Sh. on the topic “The Contribution of the Tajik People to the Great Patriotic War and the Historical Significance of Victory Day,” Salimova D.S. on the topic “The Role of Tajiks in the Great Patriotic War,” and Boboev F.A. on the topic “From War to Peace: The Difficult Path to Victory” (in Russian).
In conclusion, the Judge-Secretary of the Constitutional Court, respected Sokhibzoda M.M., highlighted important and meaningful aspects of the historical significance of celebrating Victory Day — May 9.
The session concluded with the sounding of the State Anthem.
